I’ll be honest. I started this blog as an assignment for school. The assignment was to start a blog to promote your personal brand. After spending countless hours trying to identify my brand, I came to the conclusion that there is not one brand to identify who I am. I am stuck between many different types of brands including; young and experienced, nonprofits and corporations, analytical and creative, professional and immature. I’m a hodgepodge of experiences, skills and talents as I’m assuming many others are. However, I realized that I do have one skill that has developed because of my many experiences and constant drive to succeed – it’s the skill to manage.
I have spent the majority of my twenties and early thirties being thrown into situations where I needed to manage people and projects from start to their ultimate (and hopeful) success. I won’t pretend that all the experiences were smooth, but every experience has led me to unique insights on business and people management through the eyes of a millennial that I hope will be helpful.
My goal with this blog is to share some of my research and personal insights on business and people management that many will find useful. My hope is that this blog will be helpful for millennials trying to navigate the business world and to others who are trying to navigate millennials in today’s business world.
